Beginning in 2003 with a position as Sales Manager at a BMW Motorcycle Dealership, Shawn has come to understand the finer points of motorcycle technology, sales and accessories. He has harnessed this knowledge to help train and educate product representatives and consumers alike. This experience has furthermore helped him expand into the worlds of Journalism, Video Production, and as Brand Spokesman for several manufacturers, most notably BMW Motorrad USA.
Product Training
Shawn has spent decades perfecting the art of individual and group training techniques. Beginning as a product presenter for the audio manufacturer Bose Corporation, Shawn went on to host training and marketing events for the BMW Off-Road Adventure Riding Academy, RawHyde Adventures. He is currently involved with BMW Motorrad USA, where he provides services as a spokesman in training, product presentation, and Video Production.
Brand Ambassador
Involved since its infancy, Shawn has become a well known staple of the immensely popular Adventure Motorcycle riding community. He is often found on hand at Rallies, Tours, and off-road motorcycle training events, where he lends his energy and knowledge to help others embrace and understand the sport he loves.
Media Production
Shawn has a sustained interest in Media Production, and has been involved in several key training and marketing video projects as producer, director, and on-screen personality. His current focus is with BMW Motorrad USA, where he makes training and marketing videos focused on the BMW sales and Aftersales Product Line.
Journalism and Photography
Over the years, Shawn has worked with countless motorcycle-centric magazines and websites to publish experiential articles and product reviews. His photographs have been featured in dozens of magazines, and have achieved the coveted "cover page" status 8 times (and counting).
